Daiku Picture Frame A3, Oak

A picture frame built the way a joiner would build it, not the way a frame usually is. Gejst and designer Amalie Bergholdt drew on Kumiko and Sashimono, two Japanese joinery traditions, to construct a solid oak frame with no visible seams.

The glass sits proud of the wood, so whatever it holds — a print, a pressed flower, a photograph — appears to float rather than sit behind glass.
