I've always been interested in how a home comes together over time. A piece found while travelling, something discovered in a quiet neighbourhood shop, another handed down through a family. The things we live with don't need to come from the same place or the same moment to belong together.

NAKO grew from that belief, and from my work as an interior designer.

As our studio grew, so did our clients' requests for help finding furniture and objects to complete their homes. The pieces we were looking for — often from Scandinavian, Japanese and Australian designers — weren't always easy to find here.

A trip to Copenhagen in 2023 changed what I thought might be possible. I met makers and designers whose generosity, knowledge and passion for their craft stayed with me long after I returned home.

NAKO grew from a desire to create that connection here.

Everything you find is something I believe in — chosen not because it fills a category, but because of what it can bring to a home.

My hope is that you find something here that becomes part of yours.
